Since forever I have always been into the metaphysical things. It started out when my mum would say “I bet so and so is a Leo.” And whoever it was she would always get it right. When I was a little girl my mum had these really old books, one was dream book on how to interpret them and the other I remember vividly the cover was so enchanting to me ‘Linda Goodmans Sun sign book’, and I was honestly always fascinated by them. Thinking about it now, we are a pretty superstitious family. It’s a running joke that one of us will say “Oh it’s a sign” and I am so guilty of going this all the time. Even my friends now laugh at me for it. But I’m usually right. And I have always believed there is so much more going on in the spiritual realm of the universe that we can’t see or prove. Personally to me there a too many coincidences. I believe if you’re closed minded and don’t believe it then you won’t see it, you won’t recognise the “coincidences” or the opportunities or the magical moments that you ‘just couldn’t make up’. Yes I do agree human beings are a very intelligent species, we’re so clever, we have learned so much and always learning more every day, but truly we cannot honestly believe we know everything thing. Writing this now I’m already thinking of another subjects I could write about but ill save that for another day and stick to the point.
My nana bought me my first deck of tarot cards, and my auntie Polly bought me my first deck of oracle cards. Both of which I use and love. When I’ve felt a little lost or in a situation I cannot control I would always turn to my cards for guidance and mainly some spiritual support. Which is always there if we call upon it. I’ve dabbled in tea leaf reading which is also really fun but when doing a reading for a friend I’ve always been drawn back to my tarot or oracle cards. There’s something about the energy when you’re in a reading you cannot explain, at least that’s how it feel for m but I am very empathic so I tend to tune in quickly. So much comes out and it like spiritual therapy, to help someone take that weight off their shoulders and sense how they’re feeling with the guidance to reassure them. I’ll admit tarot cards are very frank and do get to the point, an oracle cards are that little more gentle. However I do use my personal energy to interpret them in the best possible way to help heal and move on with a positive clean slate.
It’s only the last couple of years I learned that my great great grandma, whom we call grandma Chorley, was a Christian scientist. Christian scientists where spiritual healers, and everyone who new my great great grandma Chorley believed that she saved my great uncle Tony, who at the time was very young little boy who had pneumonia. The Drs officially said he would not last the night. So grandma Chorley sat by his bed all night praying, she did not leave his side until the next morning when we woke up asking for a drink. Now I’m not saying every illness or sickness can be saved from praying however I do believe intentions create energy and energy manifests.
It’s funny how different time periods that different titles are accepted, once upon of time my great great grandma would have been called a witch, real witches are strong minded women that use energy elements and natural things to help and to heal.
I find comfort in this story about my Great great grandma, because I love to help people and heal them I truly think it’s in my blood to use my energy to help others. I have always naturally loved to spiritually and mentally heal again another topic I could go on and on about.
