I am a big believer in the phrase ‘Knowledge is power’ and it is very true that you don’t know what you don’t know. Throughout life I found it misleading when I was told “Ask me any question you want?” But i didn’t always know what to ask. Especially when entering a world of information unknown to us. When starting my HypnoBirthing journey I was amazed to learn all he information in the course, about our bodies, the uterus, and so much more! I was truly empowered to ask the right questions, I found valid resources to help me do the right research so that I could make informed decisions that I felt were best for me.
I couldn’t believe how important the information was, which had me questioning and thinking…
‘Why doesn’t every woman know this? The way we think and talk about birth can and should be so different.”
I now understand how the way we birth our babies can easily spiral out of control, leaving many women unfortunately traumatised. Yet using the tools and techniques in the Marie Mongan HypnoBirthing method, helps women take back control of their bodies.
Why is this so important? Well not only do the research and studies show that with HypnoBirthing there are;
Fewer cases of pre-eclampsia/dehydration
Fewer Interventions/Surgical births
Decreased use of synthetic oxytocin
Fewer pre term babies and low weight babies
Lessened or eliminated need for analgesia
Birth partners feel more involved and prepared on helping mum during the birth
Babies are alert, able to nurse almost immediately
Infants with higher APGAR scores
And what lights me up the most is that with HypnoBirthing there are much more happier and content mothers and babies. With fewer cases or postpartum depression and more women feeling empowered and amazed by themselves and their bodies from what a beautiful positive experience their birth process was, no matter the outcome!
Rather than ask the question ‘Why HypnoBirthing?’ I would be asking Why not?
WHY NOT arm yourself with knowledge, techniques tools and support, so that your pregnancy can be about bonding with your unborn baby and the build up to the birth can be about getting prepared and looking forward to meeting your baby feeling, positive, excited, empowered and ready for your birthing day!
Birth cannot be controlled, but it can be influenced. Positive beautiful birth experiences aren’t always by luck or chance. It’s what we do before hand that has a vital impact.
Don’t be scared, be empowered!
